Specs & Labels Technician

Job Description

Job Summary:
This position reports to the Specs & Labels Manager and is responsible for producing and coordinating production specifications/labeling procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities If Any: No

Duties / Responsibilities:
Responsible for producing product specifications & product labels.
Responsible for coordinating product label approvals with USDA.
Responsible for proofing film and labels per USDA regulations.
Responsible for contacting ingredient suppliers for needed information, as necessary.
Responsible for managing specification changes/updates as needed.

Requires being highly accurate and meeting strict deadlines.

Conducts or attends staff meetings and conducts spec meetings when needed.

Use of Excel Spreadsheets/PDF/word documents.

Education & Experience:
3 - 5 Years of Experience preferred.
Education: Some college level work preferred.
