Job Title: Sales Director

Job Overview: The Sales Director is responsible for overseeing and directing the sales department to achieve company revenue targets and drive business growth. This role involves developing strategic sales plans, managing sales teams, and fostering client relationships to maximize sales performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Planning:
• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
• Analyze market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities and threats.
• Set sales targets and KPIs and monitor performance against these metrics.
Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and mentor sales team members to achieve high performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Foster a collaborative and motivating environment to drive team success.
Sales Management:
• Oversee the daily operations of the sales team, including territory management and pipeline development.
• Manage key accounts and negotiate high-value contracts and deals.
• Ensure effective use of CRM tools and sales software to track and manage sales activities.
• Cultivate relationships that make sales.
Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Address client concerns and resolve issues, such as warranty and quality, to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing clients.
Reporting and Analysis:
• Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Utilize insights to refine sales strategies and tactics.
Collaboration:
• Work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies.
• Coordinate with other departments to support company-wide initiatives and objectives.
Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the sales department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Monitor and control sales expenses to maximize profitability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• 8 - 10 years of experience in sales management or a similar role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
