Quality Tech Apprenticeship
The Quality Tech Apprenticeship program, offered at Lanier Tech and North Georgia Tech, is a 2-year US Department of Labor (USDOL) registered apprenticeship. It was created by the Georgia Mountains Works MFG Employer Partnership for manufacturers to meet the increasing demand for Quality Control Technicians. With the success of multiple cohorts so far, this program resumes at Lanier Technical College and will have its first cohort at North Georgia Technical College both in the Spring 2024 semester.
“The apprenticeship at offers a rare local chance for companies to nurture their Quality Control Technician talent pool. The cohort structure promotes collaborative learning among employees, enhancing their skills and knowledge.” -Greg Vitek, a Partner with Workforce Strategies Group LLC.
